On Friday 10th November, numerous Pate's athletes battled through the cold (and considerable mud) at the annual Cheltenham District Cross Country Championships at St. Edward's School.

They represented themselves and the school brilliantly, with many now selected to represent Cheltenham at the County Championships.

The junior girls' team (made up of students from Y8 and 9) were very impressive, winning their respective competition. They were helped in no small part by Molly Powlesland, Emma Tillott and Darcy Barton who finished 1st, 2nd and 5th in the race.

Additionally, we were treated to the most emphatic victories but the senior teams (those from Y12 and Y13). Both the boys and girls won their competitions with 3 of the top 5 runners from each race wearing the black and red of Pate's, including Will Crisp who took 1st place in the fastest of all the races.

Well done to all involved and best of luck for those competing in the next round.
