Both the U13s and U18s finished their 7s season on a high during their final tournaments.

The 1st VII were determined to win the Dean Close 7s the tournament after losing their last two as runners up. In glorious conditions Pate's beat Dean Close and Wycliffe College convincingly before beating Tewkesbury in the semi-final. The final was a tough game against Prior Park from Bath. Pate's struggled to hold onto possession and were beaten by an athletic and skilful Prior Park outfit. In the school's first season of senior 7s in 25 years the players and coaches have been very proud of the 3 finals they have reached out of their 4 tournaments.

The U13s played at Reeves Fields, Cheltenham College against local sides and the international squad of Kenya U13s. The first international rugby match played by a Pate's team inspired the boys into an outstanding performance to beat Kenya 27-7. The team went confidently into their next matches beating Rendcomb College and Bournside. The final 2 games were tough challenges against Cheltenham Junior College and Wycliffe College. The players tackled outstandingly, worked really hard for each other and scored some great tries to finish the tournament undefeated and winners. Many congratulations!
