In assembly this morning the sixth form showed us a gritty scene from Coriolanus, which they are performing next week – click here to watch the trailer. As always with the sixth form play it will be a very visceral piece of theatre to challenge the senses. We have around 50 students taking part, all have been enjoying the experience of putting together a play in a fortnight, plus with an ingenius set design and modern soundtrack. Please do come along and enjoy this unique spectacle – expect some surprises! Sixth Form Play - Coriolanus Wed-Fri 3-5 February @ 7pm – Tickets are now on sale (here) or over the counter at main reception and cost £6 (adults) & £4 (students). There will be a PA bar.
Come to my house if there are other options for me it seems stupid propecia online and it is here that you can hear a lot of interesting facts about which you have at no time heard of.

Please don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy Britten's St Nicolas at our Choral Concert (@ All Saints, Pittville) on Tues 9th February @ 7.30pm. This very engaging piece tells the story of St Nicolas (Sainta Nicolas...) who legend tells became known as Father Christmas. For this concert we are absolutely delighted to be joined by internationally renowned tenor James Gilchrist (http://www.jamesgilchrist.co.uk). It is wonderful that he has been able to fit us in to his schedule and I very much hope that you will be able to join us for this special occasion. Boys Choir, Girls Choir and Chamber Choir will also be performing other items in the concert. Tickets cost £8 (adults) & £5 (students) and are available to buy on the school website (here), or over the counter at Reception, as well as on the door on the night.
As we prepare to welcome a fifth house to our school, we are delighted to announce that Pembroke house’s sponsor will be Gloucestershire law firm, Willans LLP. Situated in Cheltenham’s Imperial Square, it is one of the longest-established law firms in the county – it will celebrate its 70th anniversary next year. Willans is an accredited, leading firm of solicitors which is known for providing commercial businesses, private individuals, charities and not-for-profit organisations with expert, practical and personal service. It has a strong connection to Pate’s as a number of its lawyers are former pupils, and many staff are parents of current or former students of the school. Pate’s, and Pembroke in particular, are very grateful to Willans for its support. For more information about Willans, please visit www.willans.co.uk.
Congratulations to Year 9 students Millie Davies, Willow Digweed, Dinula Gomes, Nida Jameel, Sarosh Khan, Eve Knowles-Jackson, Eva Macdonald, Jasmine Meaden, Hannah Simpkins and Sandra Vinod, who are the school’s newly trained Youth Health Champions. Their brief is to help educate and advise the school community on healthy eating and behaviour and they have wasted no time in advertising what they are all about. They are soon to appear in an assembly near you - more from them soon!

Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers are once again available to collect when you shop in store and there is a collection box in school’s main reception for these if you are able to send any in for us. This is a great scheme which provides us with free sports equipment to use in school, depending on how many vouchers we are able to collect. Let’s get collecting - thanks from the PE Department for your support.
Please do not enter the school via the no entry gates (Performing Arts entrance) as this is hazardous and causing us some concern. If cars are coming onto the school site in the afternoons at pick-up time they should enter through the main gates to (the left of school) and follow the road round to the left, where there is a through route and a further open gate on Oldbury Road. Thank you your help in this.
Finally I would like to thank the sixth form students for turning out in great numbers on Tuesday evening to meet families who might be considering joining Pate’s sixth form next year. I have no doubt they made a great impression – whether in departments, on tour, selling cakes, or helping people park their cars - and will have persuaded many students to aim high so that they can join Pate’s and follow in their footsteps. There is no better advert for the school – thank you!
