What a fabulous House Music competition it was!  I know that the audience were incredulous at the spirit, talent, and sheer quantity of the students involved!  Certainly no one envied our adjudicator, with so many difficult decisions to make! The overall winners were Gloucester - well done and congratulations to them and their Head of House Mrs Oram.  My thanks to all the hundreds of students who took part and Heads of Houses - Mrs Reid, Mrs Pickering and Mr Derbyshire.  It is impossible to appreciate how much time and effort went into the last few weeks, none of which would be possible without the mighty support and creative expertise of Ms Lane and Miss Thorpe.  Thanks also the army of PA volunteers (first time new parents amongst them) who managed to serve over £1700 of refreshments to House Music audiences!   This money, as well as the ticket money, will be reinvested directly in equipment and opportunities for our students and will have a great impact.  Thanks particularly to PA master-planners Claire Fraser and Karen Hope.

Come to my house if there are other options for me it seems stupid propecia online and it is here that you can hear a lot of nutty facts about which you have never heard of.

House Music CDs are available (£5 each payable on collection) – please click here for an order form, which should be handed into the office.  The CDs will be available to collect from main reception towards the end of the week.  Thanks to the tech. crew for organising this, whilst also raising money for future projects.

Looking back to last term’s House Drama I am delighted to offer parents the opportunity to buy photograph at only £2.50 each from our professional photographer.  Please follow this link to see / order the photographs (parents’ portal on the website).

Just a reminder that if you ordered a DVD of House Drama please remind students to collect them from main reception (£10 payable unless already paid).

Open Evening next Tuesday 7th October – the students really enjoy showing families around and we would be extremely grateful for your support.   We will be talking to your children in more detail over the course of the next few days and asking them to sign up to help if they can – school will finish at 2pm on that day (buses arriving early) and they will need to report for duty by 5.30pm.  Younger students will be finished by 7.30pm, but it would be great if older students could help until around 8.45pm.  We will be showing a film (supervised) in the refectory for any students who would like to stay on after school has finished (they will need to bring something to eat).  I know that many of you will remember how important it was for your children to be able to meet and chat with students when they visited and it is a proud tradition for them to do the same in return - they do such an amazing job every year and we couldn't do it without your support, which is very much appreciated.

Current vacancy reminder – we are looking for an administrative assistant (part-time) to work for our Odyssey Teaching School Alliance - marketing events, overseeing the Alliance website, meeting and greeting delegates, as well as more general administrative tasks; media, marketing and design skills would be of great advantage.  Please see the Pate's website (here) for a job description and details of how to apply. The deadline for applications is Friday 3rd October @ 4pm.
