Last night’s Autumn Concert was amazing from the start with Second Orchestra performing 'Money Money Money'; the enthusiasm of the Y8 boys choir singing 'Mambo Italiano' was something to behold, as was the Big Band finale with Beth Griffin singing 'Feeling Good'. Suffice is to say that we were all feeling very good by the end!  Well over 200 students took part in the concert involving every genre of music and I believe there could not be a better evening’s entertainment to be had from any stage. My huge thanks to Ms Lane and her department, including the peripatetic teachers who were involved. We are currently raising money to replace one of our practice pianos in the Music Department. Anyone who has attended any of our concerts or shows will appreciate the dedication that students and staff put in; it is a great shame that not all of our resources are able to adequately support them in their efforts. If you are able make a donation towards this you can be sure we will be extremely grateful. Please click here for further details.

Come to my house if there are other options for me it seems silly propecia online and it is here that you can hear a lot of interesting facts about which you have in no circumstances heard of.

As you start turning your minds to Christmas shopping the Pate’s Parents’ Association would be grateful if you would consider using Easyfundraising. It won’t cost you a penny but every pound you spend online with major retailers such as Amazon or John Lewis earns a donation for Pate’s. So far we have raised nearly £3000.  It's very simple - just visit the Easyfunding website here and shop with over 2000 well known retailers such as Argos, M&S, eBay and many more.  Thank you.

I am delighted to say that the House Art exhibition is now open for public viewing in the Art Gallery. The students have really got into the theme of ‘Openings’! Please do also visit the Silent Art Auction (in the corridor alongside the Gallery) and make a bid for a piece of artwork – minimum bid is £1 and the highest bid wins (all proceeds to the Art Department). The exhibition will be open between 17th and 24th November and parents are invited to pop in when dropping off or collecting children, or of course when coming to see The Wizard of Oz.

Final rehearsals for cast and band are now taking place for next week’s Wizard of Oz shows - Thurs-Sat 20th- 22nd November. If you haven’t yet bought a ticket there are still some left to either buy online (here), or alternatively students can buy tickets over the counter at the school office. I can’t wait!

Tickets are now on sale for the Pate’s Parents’ Association annual Family Quiz which will be held on Friday, December 5th.  This year’s challenging theme is West End with aptly named rounds. Each team, of up to 6 members, can be made up of parents, friends, family, and/or students.
Refectory doors will open at 6.30pm when picture rounds will be available to view, and the quiz will start promptly at 7pm.  Bring your own banquet/gourmet picnic/festive feast. Don’t worry about drinks - support the PPA by buying drinks at the cash bar.
Click here for your order form which should be handed in to the office. Tickets are £30 per team or £25 if booked prior to 28th November.

Sponsorship Opportunities

If your company would be interested in sponsoring Pate’s, please download our Sponsorship Opportunities flyer available here. Sponsorship in its variety of forms is of very real benefit to us. We are very grateful to all of those who have sponsored us in the past and for the corporate donations we have received and would be very happy to meet to discuss further with any company interested in getting involved in the future.

This year we are taking part in the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Appeal. Please follow this link for further information and details of what to pack. Thank you.

Thank you to those who responded to our student survey last week! The Pate's Target 2.0 team would really appreciate it if you'd answer one of our quick surveys with only 10 questions!  Business survey - consumer survey.

Finally, I would like to especially mention some outstanding student achievements. Congratulations to Lydia Badge (Y12, Pate’s CCF) who was recently appointed as one of the Lord Lieutenant cadets. The Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire is Dame Janet Trotter, who is the Queen’s personal representative for the county, and Lydia is one of ten cadets who will accompany her on her official engagements. Lydia and Danai Osmond (also in Y12) have been awarded army officer scholarships after participating in a recent selection board. Over 600 students applied to become army scholars and Lydia and Danai were amongst the 53 awarded. Army Officer Scholarships provide financial support for future Army officers while they are studying for A-Levels and give a guaranteed place to do officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
Congratulations also to Lexie Evans (Y9) who recently won Gold in her age group at the Grand Western Regional Archery Championships. She attended a team GB training camp in the summer, where she won a gold medal and she is currently ranked 3rd nationally in the Under 14 Girls.

Please follow this link to the website for more news. In the meantime, I look forward to seeing many of you at The Wizard of Oz next week.

Yours sincerely
