GCSE and A Level exams have resumed this week and Y7-10 internal exams will take place during week commencing 15th June. Once exams are finished, a truly action-packed remainder of term lies ahead with many trips and activities crammed into the calendar. Summer sports House matches will take place throughout the term and rehearsals begin for all those involved in the annual House Drama competition (House Officials will be sending out rehearsal schedules to parents shortly – thank you for your support in enabling students to take part in this end of term extravaganza!).
Come to my house if there are other options for me it seems stupid propecia online and it is here that you can hear a lot of nutty facts about which you have under no circumstances heard of.
All are welcome to come and enjoy some cricket during our annual Cricket Week, which begins on 22nd June. The programme includes: Head Master’s XI vs students (Mon 22nd June from 11.30am); Girls’ cricket vs Kings (Tues 23rd June from 1.30pm); U12 A & B teams vs Tewkesbury (Wed 24th June from 4pm); MCC vs Pate’s (Thurs 25th June from 11.30am); and Trinity Grammar School (Melbourne, Australia), vs Pate’s (Sat 27th June from 2pm). No need to book, just find us on the field behind school beyond the marquee.
Arts Week begins on 29th June, full of Art, Music, Dance and Drama activities, including: Lower School Music Competition (click here for entry form – final entries early next week please!); Orchestra Workshop; Junior Concert (Thurs 2nd July @ 7pm, tickets available on the door cost £5 for adults & £3 for students); Y8 Dance Workshops; Y7 Artist Workshops; Y9 Clay Workshop; Y12 Life Drawing workshop; Sixth Form Art Exhibition (private view Wed 1st July 4-30-7pm in the Art Gallery); and a Y12 Drama workshop with a performance at the end of the school day open to all in PAB (Fri 3rd July).

Please sign up in advance by clicking the dates below:
Tuesday 23rd June, 5.30pm, Pate’s (click here)
Monday 6th July, 7pm, Cirencester (click here) (Venue: United Business Centres (Midlands) Ltd, Cirencester Office Park, Tetbury Road, Cirencester, GL7 6JJ)
We are already working on how to tackle the even worse funding situation for the year 16/17 but we desperately need your help to solve the 15/16 problem first, which will be followed swiftly by a massive plea for help for the 16/17 year. Further information and details on how you can help are available here.
A 'Night at the Musicals' (Wednesday 24th June 7-9pm) – more and more students are coming forward to offer to sing favourite West End songs for us and it promises to be a special concert, semi-staged in our new-look PAB. There will be refreshments available throughout the evening. All are welcome, and tickets cost £3 per person and are available on Ticketsource (here).
INSET Day – Fri 26th June (no students in school)
Parents’ information meeting for Y7 Normandy trip – Mon 8th June @ 6.30pm in the Refectory.
Trip Launch - Ski Trip 2016. Our long-running and very popular ski trip organised by the PE Department (open to current Y7, 8 & 9 students) will return once again to Wagrain in Austria during February half term next year. The cost of the trip is £870 – please follow this link for full details. Please complete an application form (here) and send in along with a deposit as soon as possible. Names will be drawn from a hat if the trip is over-subscribed.
Maths Challenge - Pate's came 3rd in the regional final of the UKMT 2015 Team Maths Challenge which took place last term. They competed against 25 teams from schools from and around Gloucestershire and were beaten by The Kings School, Gloucester and the winners Cheltenham Ladies’ College. Well done to the team, which consisted of two Year 8 pupils, Tim Andrew and Edward Watine, and two Year 9 pupils, Tristan Sharman and Riya Wadhwa. They were chosen after a selection process which was open to all Year 8 & 9 pupils and attended lunchtime practise sessions to prepare. My thanks to Mrs Dodds from the Maths Department for all her support.
Chernobyl Children's Lifeline Link Clothing Appeal - Thank you so much for all the clothing donations so far. We are collecting throughout June, via a donation box in the Lost Property room in reception. Any casual/smart/sporty/party clothes for children aged 8-13 in good condition would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks from the Geography Department.
All online payments for catering and trips, etc. have now moved across to the new School Gateway system. There has been one minor occasional glitch, where some items on the cashless catering reports appear to have been duplicated, but no extra money was charged and this has now been rectified. I trust that the new system is working well for parents, but please do let the office know if you have any queries and, as always, please do contact me with feedback on any issue.
