U12 Netball

On Thursday 1st November the U12 Netball A team played against Balcarras School. We won the toss and decided to take first centre pass. When we were attacking Beth Taylor and Inca Prince got the ball down to the shooters effectively throughout the game which allowed Sophie Vaughan and Claudia Taylor to score. With strong marking and defining from Emma Hatherall and Lauren Keitley It was difficult for Balcarras to get an opportunity to score. The final score 11-0 to Pate’s. Well played to the whole team!

U15 Netball

On Thursday 18th October the U15 Netball A team played against Cotswold school. It was the debut of new tactics for the Pate’s side including new centre passes and defensive play. All the new tactics improved the level of netball dramatically and helped to boost team morale. A special mention goes to Alice Gwynn in enabling the success of the tactics through her defensive play. At half time the score was 18 – 6 to Pate’s. Excellent shooting from Alixe Cook and outstanding defending by Meg Mather, Ayesha Markham and Anya Karadia who adapted very well to new strategies and executed them to their full potential resulted in the final score being 29 - 6 and a great win for the Pate’s side. We hope to work on our movement through the court to further enhance our play. Well done to everyone who played.
